Terms of Service

These terms are a contract between you and Sensate Origin Design Services-FZCO ("Sensate", "we"), trade licence 77626, registered in Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO-IFZA), UAE. They govern your use of Legible, a product of Sensate Origin Design Services-FZCO, at https://app.legible.sensate.design. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. What Legible does

Legible analyses websites. You give it a URL; it crawls the publicly reachable pages, scores them across a set of dimensions, reports specific findings with the evidence behind each one, and — on plans that include it — proposes and applies fixes to connected platforms such as Framer, Webflow or a GitHub repository.

On paid plans it also re-crawls your sites on a schedule and reports what changed on your dashboard.

2. Your account

You must give accurate details and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us at hello@sensate.design if you believe it has been compromised.

One account belongs to one organisation. Agency plans are designed for managing multiple client sites — that is a supported use, not a workaround.

3. What you may analyse

You may only analyse sites you own or are authorised to analyse. This is the most important obligation in these terms.

You must not use Legible to:

  • crawl a site in breach of its terms of use or a legal instruction not to;
  • attempt to reach content behind a login, paywall or access control;
  • overload, disrupt or probe a site for vulnerabilities;
  • collect personal data you have no lawful basis to collect;
  • resell raw Legible output as if it were your own product, other than delivering

reports and fixes to your own clients as part of your services.

We may suspend an account we reasonably believe is doing any of these.

4. Applying fixes to your platforms

Where you connect a platform (Framer, Webflow, GitHub) and ask Legible to apply changes:

  • You approve every change before it is applied. Legible shows the plan, and

applying is your action, not ours.

  • You are responsible for having the right to change that property.
  • We record what was changed so it can be reversed, but **you should keep your

own backups.** We are not a backup service.

  • Publishing a change to a live site is always an explicit, separate step.

5. Plans, trial and payment

Legible is offered on Free, Pro and Agency plans. What each includes is set out at https://app.legible.sensate.design/pricing.

  • Pro and Agency each carry a 14-day free trial, set on the plan record held

by our billing provider. Creating a Free account requires no card.

  • When your card is first charged depends on how you reach a paid plan. The

Refund and Cancellation Policy sets out what we have confirmed and what we have not, and commits us on every route to refunding in full any charge taken before your 14 days are up.

  • After the trial, the plan renews automatically each period until cancelled.
  • Prices are charged in US Dollars (USD). Any dirham figure shown alongside

a price is an approximate conversion for reference and is not the amount charged. Your bank may apply its own conversion.

  • We are not currently registered for UAE VAT. No VAT is charged and none

appears on your invoice — the price shown is the total you pay. If we become VAT-registered we will tell account holders before it affects an invoice.

  • Payment is handled by Stripe. Failure to collect payment may result in

suspension after we have told you and given you a chance to fix it.

Cancellation and refunds are covered by the Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

6. Plan limits

Each plan carries limits — audit runs and pages crawled per audit. We enforce these in the product. If you exceed them, upgrade or wait for the next period. We will not silently bill you for overage.

7. Your content and your data

You keep all rights in your websites, your content, and the reports Legible produces for you. You grant us only the licence needed to run the service for you: to crawl the sites you specify, process the content, and store the results in your account.

We may use aggregated, anonymised statistics to improve the product. This never identifies you, your clients, or your sites.

8. Our intellectual property

Legible itself — the software, engines, scoring methods, interface and documentation — remains ours. These terms grant you a subscription to use it, not ownership of it. Do not copy, reverse-engineer or resell the software.

9. What we do not promise

Legible produces analysis and recommendations. It does not guarantee outcomes.

Specifically: we do not promise that any change will improve your search rankings, your traffic, your citation in AI answers, or your revenue. Those depend on third-party systems we do not control and which change without notice. Where the product projects an outcome, it is labelled as a projection.

The service is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every finding is complete or correct. Treat its output as expert input to your judgement, not a substitute for it.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent UAE law allows, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data.

Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Suspension and termination

You can cancel at any time from Account & usage in the app, or by emailing hello@sensate.design, which we action the same working day. Cancellation is covered in full by the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms — in particular section 3 — or fail to pay. Except for serious breaches, we will tell you first and give you a reasonable chance to put it right.

On termination, your right to use Legible ends. You may export your data for 30 days afterwards.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will email account holders at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Legible after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, cancel before they take effect.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction.

(Dubai Silicon Oasis is a free zone, not an independent judicial jurisdiction like DIFC or ADGM — so disputes are heard by the Dubai Courts, not by a free-zone court.)

Change log

Material changes to these terms are recorded here so you can see what moved and when, rather than having to diff two versions of a page.

19 August 2026 — Section 5, "Plans, trial and payment", and the Refund and Cancellation Policy. Withdrew three sentences that dated your first charge: one in section 5 and two in the Refund and Cancellation Policy. They are described rather than repeated here, because repeating a withdrawn promise in the document that withdrew it leaves it on the page for the next reader to believe. The trial itself is unchanged and is not in doubt — 14 days is set on the Pro and Agency plan records our billing provider holds. What was withdrawn is the claim that the timing of your first charge is the same on every route to a paid plan. It is not established on one of them: upgrading from inside the app asks the provider to change a subscription you already have, which its own documentation describes as an immediate change with a summary of charges displayed before you confirm, and we have not completed that route with a real card. In place of the withdrawn certainty, both documents now carry a commitment that holds on every route: any charge taken before your 14 days are up is refunded in full. Restore a flat statement of charge timing only after the in-app upgrade has been completed with a real card and the resulting invoice read — not on the strength of the plan record, which says what the plan carries and not what the payment screen does.

19 August 2026 — Section 11, "Suspension and termination". Added self-service cancellation from Account & usage in the app, alongside the email route, which is unchanged. This records a control that has been live since 5 August 2026; the terms had continued to describe email as the only way to cancel. Nothing was withdrawn — a second route was added to the document to match the product.

19 August 2026 — Section 5, "Plans, trial and payment". Clarified that the card is taken at the point you start a paid plan, and that creating a Free account requires no card. The previous wording said "at signup", which was written when signup and paid subscription were one step; our signup form creates a Free account and asks for no payment details. The 14-day trial on Pro and Agency is unchanged.

28 July 2026 — Section 1, "What Legible does". Removed the sentence stating that on paid plans we also notify you by email when something material changes. The scheduled re-crawl itself is unchanged and still runs; what it finds is reported on your dashboard. Only the notification channel was withdrawn, because outbound message delivery is not yet in service and we will not carry a term we cannot honour. This clause is to be restored only after a live send has been verified end to end — not when the delivery integration is merged, and not on the strength of a passing test. Until then, treat its absence as deliberate.
